Starting backwards!

I feel like I'm writing this blog backwards. I should be writing stuff that happens now, not going backwards. But I feel like no one can really get to know me unless you know a little more about me. Right? Or why do I care that anyone needs to know me? I don't. Maybe it's just for myself. So when I write a new post, I know I have covered the whole story somewhere else. Does that make sense or am I just rambling? LOL

Well since I'm already rambling I list off a few more rambly things. :)

  • Max is pretty much potty trained I think! He pees, he poops, he can stay dry through naps. We're only working on nighttime (and really we're not working on it, cuz I don't care too much - we got through the big stuff!). And all this in less time then it took my daughter to train. Amazing. Who knew what only a few months time would do? Waiting to train is definitely better IMO.
  • I have to talk to Max's doctor this week about getting him weaned off the prednisone. He's on it for this condition known as Minimal Change Nephrotic Syndrome. See link to the right for more about it. This is Max's 3rd time on the meds and he's ready to be off it already. By the time he's totally weaned from it, he'll have a month or less before he starts school. And you know what that means... GERMS GERMS AND MORE GERMS! :P The doc will want to put him on a stronger drug if he can't stop relapsing next time. :( I am NOT ok with that, but really have no other options. We're working with a homeopathic/naturopathic/nutrionalist who is trying to help us through a more natural route, but it's hard to do with 3 yr olds.
  • Max's allergy tests came back that he's not allergic to shellfish, tuna, cod or any of that, he's borderline NOT allergic to milk and eggs and his numbers are lower for peanuts too (tho he's still pretty allergic to that). He might actually be able to have cake and ice cream at his own birthday this next year! We're pretty excited! Emily though, is anemic again. She was anemic her first year and then not her second year. I think it's just because she's such a picky eater. She doesn't eat any fruits or veggies and her amount of meat is VERY limited. Again working with the therapist, but it's hard with these kids. They keep trying us!!!

Well that's all I can think of right now. So that's my rambling for the day! :)
