Tantrums - can adults have them too?

Kids go through many stages. I get that. That doesn't mean I have to like it. One stage I'm not liking right now is the tantrum stage. The whining, crying, hitting and screaming until they get their way stage. I'm pretty calm about it all early in the day. But by the end of the day, I want to throw a tantrum too. And poor hubby comes home to me all worked up and screaming as well.

Just one of these days though, I want to throw a tantrum too. A real one. When a doctor doesn't call me back, I just want to scream and kick and throw the phone through the wall. When AF shows her ugly face, I just want to whine and cry to my hearts content. When someone cancels a playdate on me when they know I don't get out much, I want to hit and scream at them until they cave too! Is that what it takes? No, it's just annoying and tiresome. I hope the kids realize that soon. :P

** sidenote - the doctor did call me back and Max has to stay on the prednisone for the additional week instead of weaning early like I'd hoped. That means he will only have 2 weeks to recoup his immune system before starting school. It just sucks. And I didn't even get a good explanation why. Just "it would be better for him." She might has well said "just because I said so." :P
