Thursday, March 9th the movers showed up at about 8:15am. The kids were still sleeping and I had to go wake them up. I had them come in my bedroom and get them changed and told them they could look out the window. They watched the movers start taking stuff out of the house one by one. And each time they took something they'd yell out "Oh no! They took the ___whatever was being taken___!!!" LOL It was kinda funny. Once they finally got that the truck was going to the 'new' house with all the stuff, they were just in awe. They would take their leftover toys I let them keep and carry them around like they were 'moving' it. It was soo cute. It was hard to keep them out of the movers way though. And I was still running around finishing up packing and hubby was busy taking down the beds.

By 11am the movers were done and ready to go to the new house. The kids and I stayed at the old house, so I could clean up some. I vacuumed and organized what was left. Turns out the movers don't take cleaning supplies (chemicals could cause issues I guess) and lamps (too much of a breaking risk?). So we had that plus a few other things. I left the cleaning supplies behind, so I could do a better job on Monday after I took the kids to school (I needed to clean the bathrooms, floors etc). I took the kids to lunch then to the new house, where they proceeded to watch them take everything back off the truck. Luckily, by the time we got there, they were more then half done. The kids just played in our new backyard mostly.
The movers finished around 4 and we were left with tons of boxes and things everywhere!! OMG what a mess! We made things dealable, by organizing the boxes some and getting the beds set up. We went to dinner and then to bed. We were BEAT!! This was the first time the kids slept in their own room. Emily did great! Max, however, was overtired and overwhelmed. He kept waking up and eventually by 3am, we brought him in our room to sleep with us. He was still restless even in our room. Poor kid. We had to get up early Friday though, because the cable guy was coming to install our phones, internet and cable! I did manage to get through the kitchen Friday though, so it was at least usable. Kids did great sleeping at night from here on out! Then Saturday, I had my Mothers Market through my twins club. I got rid of some boxes of baby stuff that way. We also managed to organize the family room & front foyer! It's starting to feel more homey! Sunday, hubby managed to get all the cable, phones and internet working the way he wanted it. I went grocery shopping. No rooms done.
Monday (today) the Brinks security guy came to set up our new system. I cleaned up the kids playroom a little and we organized our own bedroom. The kids had school and I had to go back to the old house to clean up. Took me the whole time. I left my swiffer-vac cord there, so I have to go back. *sigh* But I'm out that way anyway, so no biggie. Thursday, my parents come in at 9pm for the kids bday this weekend. I can't wait. We're enjoying our new house immensely. I still can't believe it's ours. I have some emotional moments, but mostly they are happy. I think it's still just the kids birthday coming up and knowing a new baby woulda been born in the next 6 weeks. But we have a new house. A new BIG house. We're tumbling through boxes and bubble wrap, but we're getting there. :)
