One month later. . .

And we're finally settled in and back to the old routine. My parents were here for the kiddos birthday and my mom just left this last Saturday. The kids took it hard this time when she left. It's almost a week later and they are still asking when she's coming back... LOL

Quick update on the kids birthday... Max was 37 lbs and 40 3/4" tall and Emily was 34 1/2 lbs and 40 3/4" tall. Still only within an inch of each other. Max is still in remission (knock on wood) as far as his kidneys go and is at a good weight for his age. He finally made the 50th percentile on the charts!! Woohoo! They are both smart as ever as Max can write the whole alphabet, but specifically likes to write Mommy, Daddy, Max, Emily, Kim, cat, dog, Nana, Papa & love. It's very cute and he asks to write things a lot. Emily on the other can write things, but prefers to just read them. She is probably reading at first grade level right now. She reads books and signs w/o me even helping her sometimes. Some words she's more familiar with, but the other times she's sounding it out. Simply amazing.

Both kids are now into math concepts - specifically addition & subtraction. They can do all the numbers up to 10. With adding in 10+10 as well! They can count up to about 100, although they still tumble over the 10's... Meaning they'll say 28, 29, 20 ten, 31, 32... It's like they know what comes next but their mouths don't agree with their brains. LOL

They also got bikes for their bday thanks to Nana & Papa! They LOVE riding them and are doing quite well! Not looking forward to the training wheels coming off in the far future though! Then they will REALLY take off! YIKES! We're all doing great though and I should have their 4 yr pictures posted soon. We're getting some free ones done by our freelance photographer soon too at a flower garden. It should be awesome. Hopefully the kids do good, and the bugs stay away. They have a major fear of bees and other bugs right now. I feel kind of bad, cuz I'm sure I did that to them. *sigh*

Anyway, that's my post for now. I will post pictures of them and pics of their awesome new bedrooms that are FINALLY finished up soon.
