The days may go by slowly, but the years will speed by.It's so true. Some days seemed like they dragged on. Even weeks. But when it's all over and done with, they have grown up. Now they are gone and learning from someone else in another place. But through it all I know they were/are ready - and that gives me comfort. This is a new phase of life for all of us and while I look forward to what the future brings, I can't help miss the past.
One thing I am surprised about is how well they are doing in separate classes. I was really worried about this, but they have no qualms about being apart. I knew Emily wouldn't, but it was Max I thought would fight it! But he didn't. And hasn't. In fact, I think it's definitely been good for him. I'm so proud of my two.
Last week they were only in school from 9-1:15pm. Starting today, they go from 9am-3:30pm. It's a LONG day! They were beat after school this last week, I can't imagine how they are going to feel when they come home! And also, they get lunch in the cafeteria for the first time - together too (with their respective classes). They will also have recess together and a nap time. Can't wait to hear how it all went. Until then, I sit here. I really do need to go clean. Eventually...
